Notes on Audio Playback

The audio files for the sermons are in the Windows Audio Format (WMA) format and require Windows Media Player (included with the Windows Operating systems).  You may be requested to download a codec (a decoder program) from Microsoft if you have an older version of the player. Please Click OK to download. You could also upgrade to the latest version of the Windows Media Player by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. Also note that these audio files can also be played by some other popular audio players such as WinAmp. Please see the additional special notes below regarding other issues that may arise due to connection types, other operating systems, and browsers.

If you are having problems please send mail to chriswalkerusa@hotmail.com and I will try to help out.

Small Test File

This is a very small 13 second test file where Rev. Greene says:
"Let us joint together now and sing the closing hymn number 352, Spirit Song".

Please click HERE to test your media player for playing from the web site. Or RIGHT click HERE and select the "Save Target as" option to save the file to your hard disk. Once saved on your hard disk you can play the file locally for testing.

Modem Users

Please note that modem users will see up to a minute delay before the audio begins playing.

Windows 95 Users

In order to playback the Sermons on an older Windows 95 system you will need to download the 6.4 version of the Windows Media Player.  Click HERE to go to the download page.

Netscape Users

Netscape will not play Windows Audio Files automatically in the 6.0 and 7.0 versions of the browser. I am still researching this problem. Meanwhile,  you can Right Click on the audio link above and Select "Save link as" option which will download the audio to your hard drive where you can then play the file by double clicking.  Or you can use the Windows Explorer browser which is included with the Windows operating system.

Macintosh and Linux Users

There is Macintosh support for Windows Audio via the Windows Media Player for the Mac.  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/mac71.aspx

Support for Linux is still immature in its solution and is not recommended.
